Post 4: IN THE NEWS

_________________________________________________________________

DIRECTIONS: Students must write one 350-word blog post in relation to contemporary art in the news. They will identify the publication venue, briefly present the coverage, and offer their own perspective on the situation or figure. They should connect the contemporary story to something covered in class, either in discussion, lecture, readings, or another blog post. They must include at least two hyperlinks as references for their story.

This post might present a “new” or emerging contemporary artist who is in the news, offer a review of a recent exhibition that has received press, discuss a contemporary museum, auction, or sale, or highlight an issue that pertains to contemporary art and discussions that they have read about in a news outlet. The only constraint is that it must be “in-the-news”!

Due: November 10th
